Obesity Awareness
Kuala Lumpur – A charitable cause for promoting the obesity awareness
upon the people of Malaysia has been conducted by the NGO that promotes a
healthy living campaign targeting teenagers and people who are diagnose with
obesity. We Care We Share promote the rampant amount of obesity problem which
alarmed the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
Malaysia has been stated as the number one (1) ranking in the ASEAN
country that the society has been diagnosed with obesity. In today statistics,
38% of the teenagers ranging from the age of 12 to 18 years of old have been
statistically diagnosed with obesity. To keep the numbers to a down turn, a NGO
that supported with the Ministry of Health has created a obesity awareness
campaign by promoting a healthy lifestyle and interactive sections in
interacting with the youth through the usage of the social media.
The objective of this program other than creating awareness is to tackle
the detailed overview of the problem specified to its definition, types
(severity), causes and consequences of obesity. The campaign aimed to recommend
an appropriated strategy to prevent obesity targeting to the whole population
of Malaysia as well as a specific targeted group as such as teenagers that are
rampantly having an unhealthy lifestyle.
The awareness campaign will be conducted year round as it acts using one
of the most influential social networking system of the 21st century
the social media. It is projected that by the establishment of this campaign,
it will help reduce the alarming problem that the Malaysian society is facing.
